But even though he has tight schedule, Shetty is all set to script a suspense-crime thriller to which will also mark his directorial debut and more likely, this will happen by next year. The story is essential for him, but up to this moment, he doesn’t consider any actor yet. He said the casting will happen in the second phase and he believes that it doesn’t come in the way when the script is still being written.

The Bengalurean lad has worked as an associate director and assistant director in films like Taxi No. 9211 in 2006 and Kyun Ho Gaya Na in 2004. Shetty grew up in Bengaluru and attended St. Joseph in Bengaluru and Sheshadripuram College. Then, he took a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management at MS Ramiah College.

He shared that his friends were curious on how a common man can pursue his dream in Bollywood. Shetty doesn’t have any relative from the industry. He further adds that after BBM, he attended Xavier’s College in Mumbai and took up Advertising. After that, he worked on several TV commercials, which is also his first job. Shetty used to watch movies from all over the world and in all the languages. After few years in advertising, he thought that his next move should be filmmaking.

He also said that ad filmmaking and filmmaking are just the same, except that filmmaking took a lot of time, but both are about good storytelling. Shetty also worked for three years as a corporate guy in Warner Bros for the Hindi film division. Then, he got the chance to work with Ajay Devgn and 'Kumar Mangat Pathak'. The trio has donned four to five films a year. Shetty shared that he is the one who selected the scripts, directors and almost everything such as shooting locations, costumes, editing, music and more.
