After they had made some changes to the script, the makers thought that Aparna Balamurali will suit the role well. Anoop Menon plays a special branch circle inspector named Jose K Mani. Aparna plays Anupama and the relationship between Mani and Anupama is the main part of the story. Aparna has a strong role in the film and hence she had nodded okay, immediately. It is also heard that Miya too walked out from the project, as she is busy with some more projects in Tamil.
