in an important role. A song from the film, Manikya Malaraya Poovi released a few months back and a wink scene in the film created a huge controversy. When the youngsters enjoyed the scene and shared the song on the social networking sites, some of the people said that it hurt the sentiments of the Muslim community. A complaint was filed by Muqeeth Khan who stated that the lyrics of the song insulted Prophet Muhammad and had also requested the CBFC to ban the song. A case was also filed for Priya Prakash Varrier's wink. Besides this, a case was filed against the producer and the director too. Today, the apex court dismissed the case and had also asked the Maharashtra and Telangana governments not to get such complaints about a song. Bar and Bench posted on their Twitter, “Supreme Court quashes FIR filed against Priya Prakash Varrier and Director and Producer of the movie Oru Adaar Love for the famous wink scene allegedly hurting religious sentiments of Muslim community.”
