When asked about Makarand’s role in the film, the director states that he plays Salim Bhai, a popular bike racer during the 80s and 90s. He will be seen as a mentor to Sreesanth. He will be moving cool with the youngsters, despite his age. Makarand says that he used to ride his bike very fast when he was young. When his mother saw him riding fast, she didn’t let him ride the bike. When asked about his role, Makarand says, "Team 5 has some interesting bike sequences, in which I have a few. I have to meet some real stuntmen and bikers, in this film. What I liked about my character, Salim Bhai is, it is designed as a notable professional, who wants the good side to win." He will also be seen in Puli Murugan and Kuttigalundu Sookshikuka.
