Vasu was earlier associated with Rajinikanth, and the duo gave solid blockbuster movies such as ‘Chandramukhi,' ‘Mannan,' ’Panakkaran.' But after hearing the script from Vasu, Rajinikanth seemed to have advised the director that Ajith is capable of doing the role, and he is the right choice for the script.
