Anushka Shetty, the talented star was last seen with Unni Mukundan and “Jayaram” in “Bhaagamathie.” The star is said to have signed doing a multilingual film “Silence” with “R Madhavan” and directed by Hemant Madhukar. To play in this film, she is said to have shed her excess weight. The latest update is that Anushka is said to have been approached by Mani Ratnam team to play in Ponniyin Selvan. The actress hadn’t yet confirmed the news.
Meanwhile, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, the versatile star confirmed that she is doing a role in Mani Ratnam film. She is the first one to confirm her status in the film, even before Mani announced it. Keerthy Suresh, Chiyaan Vikram, Karthik Sivakumar, Amala Paul, “Sathyaraj” and Mohan Babu are said to be in the cast. Aadhi Pinisetty was approached. But, as he had signed a cop thriller, he has toned his structure for the role. So, he couldn’t do Mani’s film. Earlier, “Nayanthara” was said to be in the cast. But, She didn’t confirm her presence, still.
