Atlee is a noted director in the Tamil cine field. He directed movies as Theri and Mersal starring Vijay. The movie Mersal collected a huge amount, but it was reported that the producer incurred huge loss. The Thenandal Films could not start the next venture. Also, the production unit has stalled the ventures in pending. So, some among the producers said that nobody should give a movie to Atlee. A producer named Amma T Siva openly said this. In a development, the movie Mersal was screened in the Fourth National Awards function in England. The movie bagged the credit of the biggest foreign movie.
In a development, Atlee approached Vijay to narrate him a story. Vijay has not listened to the story and has said that he would consider it in some time in future. This has caused disappointment to Atlee.
