As the last date for filing the Income Tax Returns falls today, the banks will be kept open till 8 PM. As 1st and 2nd April are holidays, the Reserve bank Of India decided to make the banks stay open till 8, for the convenience of the people. All the branches of the Reserve Bank of India and the Income Tax offices will be opened till 8 pm today. Similarly, the electronic transactions will be accepted until midnight. As per the circular sent by the RBI, arrangements are made to collect the IT returns on time from the taxpayers without causing inconvenience to them. So, RTGS and NEFT transfers are allowed even after the business hours. So, people, if you are about to pay the IT, plan it today and the bank doors are open for you till 8.
