Devarajan, who hails from Sembium filed a petition in the High Court. He said in the petition that when the movies starring lead actors are released, the theaters extract a huge amount as the entry fees. The prevalent scenario is such that it happens for five days.

The government should make the relevant announcement, said the individual in the petition. The announcement should be made to the theater proprietors. The case came for hearing in the presence of the magistrate Ravi Chandra Babu. The petitioner and Mersal movie’ s producer lawyer turned up in the court. The magistrate said that since the case has public welfare in mind, the case is to be given higher priority.
