Cheran is one among the noted directors and actors in the Tamil cine field. He made an address during occasion in Kovilpatti. He made accusation that black money being accumulated through various other professions are being exchanged through cinema. There was an occasion that was held during an event on behalf of the Rotary Club. Director Cheran presided over the event and said that there is plenty of difference between the make of a movie and the movie on screen. Cinema has now turned into a profession like agriculture. There is a question as to whether one could get back the investment. The marketing of the movie is very important. There are people who undertake marketing honestly. There are other people who cheat.
They say that the movie is good. If we rely on that, only disappointment is left. There is the fraud in the form of marketing the movies. There are false events celebrating the success of a movie. Before ten years, the cine field was thriving well. Also, Cheran made a remark about the government. How could a government which does not worry about the masses demand tax, Cheran raised the question. Since the organizations by government and the hospitals are not quality ones, people go to private hospitals. We are paying tax for the roads, drinking water and money accumulated through profession.
