,” the late TN CM, will be ready within a year. Edappadi also stated that the memorial would be built in the shape of the phoenix bird. The total budget for the memorial is Rs. 50.8 crores. The memorial will be built in the Marina Beach. The model image had been released online and it spread virally. Earlier, the Edappadi Government installed a statue of Madam Jayalalithaa. But, it created controversy, as it didn’t look like the late CM. Later, the Ministers announced that it would be altered. Till date, there is no information about the statue. At least, will they construct the memorial properly, is the question by the public. Meanwhile, it had been asked that when the state has been facing serious issues like Cauvery, NEET and Sterlite, is this the right time to build a memorial.
