had been admitted to the AIIMS, New Delhi due to some age-related illness. He has been getting the treatment there since June. The latest press release from the AIIMS Delhi states that the ex-Prime Minister continues to be in the same condition and he is breathing with the help of life support systems. Vajpayee is 93 years old and he had served as the Prime Minister thrice. Vajpayee is one of the founding members of Bharatiya Jana Sangh. Later in 1980, Vajpayee restructured the party into the Bharatiya Janata Party. It is to be noted that Atal Bihari Vajpayee is the first Prime Minister who served full five years term as a non-Congress person and he is the oldest living ex-Prime Minister of India.
