Chennai, the capital city of Tamilnadu, is struggling again with the rain and the traffic. Heavy rain hits the city and as a result, water logged in the main places in the city. So, vehicles stuck in the rain and created a traffic jam. Heavy rain lashes at Mylapore, Mandaiveli, Pattinapakkam and Marina. The areas that are affected by heavy traffic are Velachery, Madhya Kailash and Perungudi. Following the continuous rain, the Chennai schools will be closed tomorrow. People are advised to stay safe. Tree fall in Mambalam added an extra headache. We had a heavy rainfall in Chennai in 2015 December. It was the heaviest in the century. Chennai corporation commissioner informed that there are 400 suction pumps ready to remove the water log. Chennai, Kanchipuram and Thiruvallur district schools will be shut down tomorrow.
