The whole nation is aware of the talent that Ilayaraja possess. He is one of the best music directors in the country and has a huge fan following with people of all ages. The music director has recently been on the news after he rejected the National Award that was bestowed on him. The music director has conferred the award for the best background score for his work in the film, ‘Tharai Thappatai’ that came out last year. The maestro, however, skipped the ceremony that happened on Tuesday in New Delhi. Illayaraja has won the award five times already. He has scored for more than 1000 films in several languages in the 30 or so years that he has been in the field in. Sources say that maestro is upset at being considered only for the background score category and not for the best music composer award. He has apparently not wanted to receive the award ever since the results came out in March. The twist in the events is the fact that his brother

was on the panel for the year. News about the feud between the two has always been known. Let’s just hope that this doesn’t cause more problems between the brothers.
