The TN Government has hiked the bus fare which could not be met by all the people. After massive protests, the TN government ruled by “Edappadi K Palaniswami has decided to reduced a rupee from the ticket fare. They also say that by reducing the fare by Re. 1, the government has to face a loss of Rs. 4 crores per day. On hearing this, people started attacking the politicians. “Won’t the government face a severe loss by doubling up the salary of the MLAs,” ask the public. People also question them, “Is it not the government’s duty to provide the basic facilities to the public at a subsidized price?” The people’s anger has been developing day by day and they have started to speak their ideas boldly in public. As per the latest announcement, the maximum bus fare will be Rs. 22 in Chennai and other cities, it will be Rs. 18.
