has aligned with the PM led Skill Development Mission which has the intention to train 400 million people by the year 2022. In keeping with this mission, Kamal is taking the lead in bringing in for training as many as 10,000 technicians so that they can be internationally qualified. He is believed to have roped in more than 35 film unions and has even got the ‘All India Film Employee Confederation’ to shut down work for 3 days.
Kamal emphasized that this kind of training was long overdue in India and it was the first one which was initiated by the workers. He also said that this should not be seen as a ploy by the workers to hike wages. This training would help the movie industry in the pursuit of excellence. The initiative involved the government rather than any particular political party. The training would be conducted by international and national film dignitaries, specialists and technicians.
