The Tamil Nadu Government’s order to bridle the Methane Exploration project in the farm lands of Tamilnadu’s Delta region has come within a few days of Kathukutti’s release. This movie explained in detail about the precarious effects on agriculture as well as the ecosystem. It has also dealt with the livelihood of people, which will be affected due to the Methane Exploration. Now, the whole crew of ‘Kathukutti’ released a statement that welcomes the stunning move by the state government. In the statement, the director R. Saravanan said that “Kathukutti’ has emphasized the atrocious effects of the Methane project. The movie also explains about the heritage values that are being completed smashed up by the Methane Project, with the graphic effects. “We reckon the Tamilnadu Government’s denial to grant permission for Methane project, as the grand victory of our film” said R. Saravanan. The entire crew thanks the honorable Chief Minister J. Jayalalitha for citing the ban order. Saravanan says, “Each and every clap, which the people presented for the film for explaining the atrocious methane project, should go to the honorable CM, who issued the Ban for Methane Project!”
