of Billa 2 fame. The first look, singles and motion posters have generated a positive response and the director is rather excited. Sharath wanted his film to differ from the rest of the pack and so he chose a political subject. But as they progressed on the script, they realized that this film was rather similar to the blockbuster KO.
It was then that they decided on the title KO-2 though this is not a sequel to KO. They took great care with the scripting and filming, as they wanted to keep in tune with KO and its success. According to Sharath,

When asked how KO2 was different from KO, the director said,” In KO2, Bobby gets into media to change the issues that society is filled with. The honest and upright person that he is, he expects others to be the same and becomes the face that changes society. But he is disappointed by sad realities and this is where KO-2 is totally different from KO”.
