It was spoken that if Lakshmi Menon does a movie, it would definitely turn a hit. She was doing a sequence of hit movies. At a point of time, she said that it was boring to do stereotyped movies and which are village oriented subjects. Reports went abuzz that she said she will quit movies. Then, Lakshmi Menon had a change of mind, and she made a reentry into the cine field. Her movies as Mirudhan and Rekka did not turn hits.
