Vijay plays triple roles; a father and two sons and this is the first film for the actor in triple roles. Vijay’s performance is getting appreciation, all over. His magician role has been received well by the audiences. Although the people are highly interested in the film, the film has been criticized by the politicians and the doctors. The Chennai box office collection of Mersal is Rs. 4.16 crores at the end of three days. It is to be noted that as the opposition strengthens, even non-Vijay fans started visiting theaters to see what is there for criticizing. So, this weekend will be a Mersal weekend and the collection is expected to double up.
