Of late, the issues surrounding the cinema field, and the protest by the producer council has delayed the release of movies. Tamil movie Kodi Veeran, announced for Diwali is not hitting the screens on Diwali. Also, there is no official confirmation about release of Mersal. So as to make best use of the situation, the R. Sarathkumar starrer Chennaiyil Oru Naal 2 is to hit the screens during Diwali. Initially, it was announced that the movie would hit the screens the last month on 15th. But the release of the movie got postponed. The movie crew has made an official announcement that the movie would hit the screens on Diwali.

, and which stars Vaibhav is bracing up for release on Diwali. Now, the movie Chennaiyil Oru Naal is to release on Diwali. The movie Chennaiyil Oru Naal 2 is a directorial venture by debutant director JPR. Along with Sarathkumar, there are other actors as Anjana Prem, Suhaasini, and Napoleon. If Mersal does not release for Diwali there is chance for many other movies to be released on Diwali.
