’. The movie Mersal hit the screens yesterday, and it has had a tremendous welcome among fans. The minus point of the movie is its length. But still, the fans of Vijay are celebrating the movie as it arrived on screens.
In a development, in Bangalore, the fans of Vijay raised a cutout and expressed their love for the actor. But some among the Kannada activists said that the Tamil movie cannot be released in Karnataka. Also, they smashed the cutouts of Vijay. Following that, there was tussle between Vijay fans and Kannada activists. The police rushed to the spot and made peace between the fans. Following that, thes shows of Mersal were cancelled. This caused anger among the Vijay fans. It is to be noted that there were many such similar instances in Karnataka and the shows of Tamil movies were cancelled.
