Sri Rangam Sri Ranganathaswamy temple is very popular and it is even compared with Tirupati too. The Sri Rangam temple compound is the biggest temple compounds in the world and it is also included in the largest Hindu temples, which has been active for centuries. A huge crowd will be seen daily, irrespective of festivals and auspicious days. The latest news about the temple is that the main shrine will not be opened for the public from today to tomorrow at 4 pm. The reason is that the temple management will be performing Jeshtabishekam to the Lord Ranganathar with the Cauvery water. So, after completing the Jeshtabishekam, the public will be allowed to seek the blessings from the lord in the main shrine after 4 pm, tomorrow, informed Jeyaraman, the deputy commissioner of the temple management.
