The issues relating to the Chennai – Salem Greenfield Express Highway have been continuing. When the people are against the project, why is the government taking it still on the hands and getting ready to finish the project, at once and what is the necessity to rush the work, is the question by the public? When the case is in the court, a lot of discussions are going on and the court has ordered the central and the state governments to reply within two weeks. The case had been filed to ban the Greenfield expressway. Sundarrajan, a person from Pooulagin Nanbargal movement filed the case. The central government’s attorney said that there is no need to get the consent of the public, as the scheme is passed in the parliament. The Tamilnadu Chief Attorney said that the scheme had been followed under the social security scheme. Who will win, the people or government?
