As there are lots of unwanted incidents happening in the city, the Karnataka government decided to protect the women. Earlier this year, a young girl, who was walking on the road, after New Year party, was molested by a man. The Karnataka Government suggested the IT Companies and BPOs that have a lot of shift based jobs, not to provide night shift jobs to the women employees. Although many of the companies provide cab facilities for the women staffs during their late night shifts, they can’t assure any safety to the women. As the cops couldn’t ensure the security to each and every night shift worker, it is better to avoid the night shifts, which turns risky, feels the government. Will the IT companies follow the suggestion by the state government?
