Mersal is all set for the Diwali release. Mersal is gearing up to create a new record. Mersal will be released in Tokyo, Ebina/Kanagawa, Osaka and Nagoya in Japan. These are the places where no Tamil films released, so far. It is to be noted that Mersal is the first Indian film to hit the Japan screens on Friday. Mersal will be released in 600+ screens in Tamilnadu and 350 + screens in Kerala. The film will also be released in Telugu states and also in Sri Lanka. However, it is sure that the film will release, only if the state government agrees to the demand by the film industry regarding the double taxation.
