Earlier this month, the Sri Lankan navy attacked the Indian Fishermen and a fisherman named Bridjo was killed. So, the fishermen protested against the Sri Lankan Army against the unannounced attack. Nearly 11 days, the fishermen were protesting along with their families and didn’t venture fishing. After the talks with the Central Ministers Nirmala Seetharaman and
Pon Radhakrishnan
, they decided to stop the protest and start fishing. After Bridjo had been laid to rest, the fishers decided to take their nets and start their boats. Yesterday, they went to the sea for fishing. But, it is heard that the Sri Lankan Navy had involved in the patrol. So, the fishermen returned without fishing and this had made them incur a loss of Rs. 2 crores.
