is the President of Tamil Film Producers Council. Following the GST, the Tamilnadu government has levied entertainment tax to the cinema and this has risen up the ticket price. The ticket price before GST was Rs. 120 and now it is Rs. 153. Although they requested the state government, nothing happened in favor to them. So, the Tamil Producer Council announced that they would be organizing a strike and from 6th October, no new films will be released. This announcement didn’t go well with the small producers and the makers, who are waiting to release the new films in October. “
