During the Thoothukudi Sterlite protest, 13 people were killed in the gunshot, after the protest turned violent. Nilani posted a live video from the sets about the Thoothukudi Gunshot. She made a lot of derogatory comments about the government on the live video. At once, a case was filed against her. Following this, the actress absconded. She was found in Kunoor and now the cops arrested her and are bringing her to Chennai.
