CBI Director Alok Verma and the Special director Rakesh Asthana had a tug of war. Following this, they had been given a forced leave. Alok couldn’t leave this as such and filed a petition to clear why he had been forcedly given an unwanted break. The issue is both the officers are pinpointing each other as Corrupt. The mess started slowly after a case had been filed against the Rafale Fighter Jet agreement. It is also said that Alok and Rakesh are not comfortable to work together. Asthana got his promotion as the special director in 2017. After this, Central Vigilance Commission was informed that Asthana’s name got a place in the diary recovered from Sandesara Group. It is being investigated by the ED, CBI and IT department. When the case moves on like this, Alok and Asthana got a conflict. Now, the Supreme Court has ordered the Central Vigilance Commission to inquire regarding this and filed the report in two weeks. The Court ordered that the case should be dealt under the supervision of retired SC Judge A K Patnaik.
