The Supreme Court released the verdict last month that the women could visit Sabarimala in Kerala irrespective of the age. Women between the ages of 10 and 50 are not allowed to the Sabarimala temple and it is one of the rules in the Sabarimala Devaswom Board. But, the Supreme court relaxed the rule and ordered that like all the other temples, women could go to Sabarimala and age is not a bar. But, this didn’t go well with the regular Aiyappa devotees and a lot of people in the south. Even many women are opposing the verdict of the Supreme Court.
