' has proven it in his recent interviews. The film that has been in production stage for about two years is finally ready to release on January 14, 2016, for Pongal.
The film is based on South India's deep-rooted entertainers 'Karagattam Group.’ The multi-faceted Sasi Kumar brings out all his effort as an actor to put out typical Bala's style in Thaarai Thappattai. In fact, Sasi fractured his left arm when he was shooting for the climax portions. He further revealed the efforts he had taken to the role. He said, “I got the training from the folk dancers and singers for a couple of months. They taught me the way to handle Thappu and the position of the sticks, basic moves and special leg movements. Later it made me play Thappu, Parai and other musical instruments of them”.
He also says, “Despite of being an actor, producer and director, I went to Bala in a blank mind, and I simply followed his instructions. He is a first rate human; it is every actor's dream to work in his films. If he calls for another project, then I'll join with him”.
