Following the attack on the Indian Fishers on 6th March, the Sri Lankan Navy said that it is not responsible for the attack. During the attack, a young fisherman was killed. Although the Sri Lankan Navy denied, the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka ordered for an inquiry. Still, now nothing is revealed. The Sri Lanka recently announced to release 30+ fishers in the prisons of Yazhpanam and Vavuniya. Meanwhile, some fishermen were arrested by the Sri Lankan Navy for crossing the borders. The fishers, who are arrested in the Neduntheevu are said to have smuggled Rs. 20 Crore worth Heroin. The truth will be revealed soon.
