He is to reach the 100 songs mark as he does the number for movie En Aaloda Seruppa Kanom. Simbu spoke regarding doing 100 numbers in movies which happens to be an achievement. He said that it was his passion to do numbers in movies. I inherited it the desire from my father. I am happy that I have done majority of the hit songs. I am not able to sense that I have done 100 numbers. I convey my thanks to the directors, music composers and co-singers for giving me an opportunity.
I always desire learning. Since I have done numbers with huge number of music composers, it has given me a greater understanding. I thank my fans for accepting me in any getup. As for me, 100 is an ordinary number. But still, I am very proud at the moment. Cinema is intertwined in my life, and I would toil for cinema, said Simbu.
