Supreme Court Adjourns Cauvery Case!

The Supreme Court ordered the Central Government on 16th February to constitute the Cauvery Management Board within six weeks. But, the Central Government didn’t set up the CMB. Following the petition filed by the Central Government seeking the explanation for the word Scheme, the Supreme Court gave the Central Government two weeks time to submit the draft on the Cauvery Management Board. Today, the case came to the hearing and the Central government said that they have readied the draft. But, as the PM and the rest of the Ministers are campaigning for the Karnataka elections, they didn’t send the draft to the respective ministry, said the Central government. So, the central government requested the Supreme Court to extend the time to submit the report. Following this, the Supreme Court adjourned the case to 8th May.
