The opposition parties in TN had planned for a bandh on 25th April 2017. The parties join together and organize this bandh, as per the request of DMK. This bandh is organized to support the farmers, who are protesting to set up a Cauvery tribunal and the management board to share the water with both states and to write off the crop loans and to grant the drought relief. To support the farmers, many organizations decided to shut down their work on 25th April. Nadigar Sangam, Theater Owners Association, Traders Union, Lorry Association Koyambedu Vegetable Market Association and many more organizations vested their support and now Producers’ Council has raised its voice for the farmers and decided to participate in the bandh. They will be doing a fasting protest and the Theatre Owners Association will participate in the fasting protest, announced the Theatre Owners Association President, Rohini Pannerselvam.
