The Kapali theater is one among the noted theaters and has been a major land mar It happens to be the first ever cinema theater in Asia. The movie theater is closing after 49 years of movies from various languages. The theater has a capacity of 1465 seats. The theater is to be replaced by a huge mall which is to be raised. It was during 1968 that the Prime Minister Moraraji Desai started the huge theatre with a capacity of the huge one. It happened to be the third hugest theaters in Asia. Cinerama the popular culture was begun in the Kapali theater.
Cinerama happened to be a three strip, three projector technology. The unique technology was implemented in the theater. The first ever Kannada movie to be screened at Kapali theater Dr KS Aswath’s 100th movie. It happened that the theater screened English, Hindi mvies.
