Red Alert Warning! The Indian Meteorological Department had issued a Red Alert Warning to the people of Tamilnadu and Andhra Pradesh. The Cyclonic Storm had been named GAJA. The low air pressure level over the West Central and adjoining East Central and Southeast Bay of Bengal is said to have moved at a speed of 12kmph westwards in the past six hours and it is lying in between Chennai and Andhra Pradesh. To be particular it is in latitude 13.5°N and longitude 88.2°E, which is 900 km east to south east of Sri Harikota and 860 Km east to northeast of Chennai. The low lying air pressure might get intense and form a cyclone in next 24 hours. If it weakens ad moves west – southwestwards, it might cross between Cuddalore and Sri Harikota on 15th November, forenoon. So, stay safe during this period.
