. The film that is scheduled for a release on September 4 was stalled because the producer (Vendhar Movies) was unable to settle the losses acquired by the film.
According to a member of the theatre owners association, "Only half of the promised settlement has reached the distributors of 'Lingaa'. 'Rajinikanth' and the film's producer 'Rockline Venkatesh' managed to settle the loss, but distributors from North and South Arcot, Chengalpet and Trichy are yet to receive the compensation".
The Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) is aiming to help Vendhar Movies in this matter and has taken it into their hands. They said that if the exhibitors association will not withdraw the red card immediately, they will bring the matter to the notice of the state government in Tamil Nadu, so the issue will be resolve in order.
