The movie pinpoints the mistakes by medical practitioners and happens to be a revenge story. The movie is a production venture by Thenandal movies. Within few days of the movie’s release, there was controversy surrounding the movie. Protests arose accusing that there are assailing remarks against the Central and State governments. Stress was laid on the fact that the scenes have to be removed. But later, there was a solution the problem.
There was solution to the issues surrounding the movie. There was decision to release the movie in Telugu as Athirinthi. As per the decision, the movie would be released in Telugu on October 27th. But, there was hassle to the release of the movie. But, the censor board did not give certificate to the movie. Now, the movie has been given a U/A certificate. So, on October 27th, the movie Mersal has been confirmed for release. It is anticipated that the Telugu version would also win acclaim.
