Tirupati Venkateswara Temple is reported to be one of the richest temples in the world. Lakhs and lakhs of people are visiting the temple and offering cash and jewels in the Hundis of Lord Venkatesa. The temple, which is not controlled by the governments has the capacity to give a loan to a state government. Now, the temple authorities started the mobile app service for the devotees. With this application, the devotees could buy the Darshan tickets, book rooms, pay offerings and donations through e-hundi. The app service is launched by Sambasiva Rao, the Secretary of Tirupati Devastanam Board. Hope, the devotees will have an easy booking method to tour the holy hill. Meanwhile, the old Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 notes of the temple worth Rs. 12 Crores seem to be invalid, as the Reserve Bank of India denies exchanging it with the new currency notes.
