, the actor turned politician slammed the Tamilnadu government for hiking the fuel price. He stated that when the price of petrol and diesel had come down considerably, the TN government has increased the price. When the people are jobless for the past 40 days and suffering financially, by increasing the fuel price, the government betrays the people, stated Kamal Haasan. This is his tweet: “உலகமெங்கும் பெட்ரோல், டீசல் விலை குறைந்திருக்கும் வேளையில், அவை மீது மதிப்பு கூட்டு வரி உயர்வு என்பது அத்தியாவசிய பொருட்களின் விலையை உயர்த்தும் என்பதை அறிந்திருந்தும், 40 நாட்களாக மக்கள் வேலையின்றி, வருமானமின்றி தவிக்கும் நிலையில், இதை செய்வது மக்களுக்கு அரசு செய்யும் துரோகம்.”
