Due to the Cauvery issue, vehicles with Tamilnadu registrations were burnt and Tamils were manhandled. Amidst these issues, TV host, Chitra was busy with her Kannada serial shooting. She had been in Bangalore for ten days. While returning to Chennai, the actress cum host was accompanied by a Tamil, who knows Kannada. VJ Chitra says that she was hiding inside the car in each and every checkpoint in Karnataka. Chitra started her hosting in Makkal TV. She has been performing in the weekly series, Chinna Papa Periya Papa with “Nalini” and “Nirosha.” Chitra is also popular for her role Kalaiyarasi in Saravanan Meenakshi season 2.
