Union Cabinet Minister Nirmala Seetharaman, who is active on Twitter, shares her view on GST and Entertainment Tax. Here are her tweets that are compiled as one. “தமிழ் நாட்டில் தமிழ் சினிமா மீது entertainment tax #GST க்கு முன் இல்லை. தமிழ்-இதர மொழி திரைபடங்களில் மீது 30% என்டர்டைன்மென்ட் வரி உண்டு. தமிழ்-இதர மொழி திரைப்படங்களுக்கு #GST க்கு முன் எல்லா டிக்கட் ரகங்களுக்கும் 30% வரி. ரூ.100 or more. #GSTக்கு பின் ரூ.100 அல்லது அதற்கு கீழுள்ள டிக்கடிற்கு #GST 18% . டிக்கட் ரூ.100 க்கு மேல் #GST 28% . முன் இருந்த 30% விட குறைவு. #GST அதிக பட்சம் 28% தான். #GST க்கு முன் சினிமா தயாரிப்பில் சேவை வரி உண்டு. உதாரணமாக, செட் வாடகை, stunt நடிகர், மேக்-அப், பேஷன், செட்-டிசைன் போன்றவை மீது. இந்த சேவை வரிகளும் #GSTல் உள்ளடங்கியுள்ளது.
