In cinema, the priority is given to heroes alone. The actresses are being used to romance the heroes and make appearance in scant attire. The male chauvinism should be wiped out. When I was aged 16, I did a Hindi series. Then, I received chance to do movie in Bengali. From there, I moved to Hindi. The movie Munna Bhai MBBS gave me a star status. I did not do stereotyped roles and did roles with variety. Only after that, I received chance to do movies which prioritize the heroine.

Also, I was able to show my talent. There is talent hidden in every actress. But, suitable stories and characters do not emerge. The women of today are powerful. In family life, and in profession they toil more than the males. But still, they do not receive due acknowledgment. Fans relish the movies not alone by heroes but also by heroines. When I got married, they said that my profession is over. But still, after marriage, the movies that I did ran successfully. I have proven that actresses could succeed even after marriage.
