. The movie has been given the title Mersal. It has been officially confirmed that the movie starring Vijay would hit the screens for Diwali. There was the issue regarding the entertainment tax. There was prevalent anticipation as to whether movie Mersal would hit the screens on Diwali. This caused tiredness among the Vijay fans.
