A producer complained in the Producers Council and also filed a case in the court that he had already registered a title “Merrasalaittan” in 2014 and he has the license to use the title until 2018 and the shooting of the film is underway. The court put a stay order not use the title Mersal till 3rd October. So, the fans of Vijay and the Mersal producers are in a high tension. But, Vijay’s Public Relations Officer Riyaz announced that the film release of Diwali as per the schedule and hence the fans need not worry.
