Here is the detail about 49 (P). The Conduction of Election Rules formulated in 1961, has Section 49 P. It states that if a person’s vote had been cast by some other person, he could explain and reveal his identity to the presiding officer and claim to cast his vote. The person should be provided with a tendered ballot paper and he could write his name in Form 17 B to cast his vote.
