. The movie Mersal hit the screens yesterday in Tamil Nadu. As per the plans, the movie Mersal was to be released today in Telugu. The movie titled Athirinthi was sold for a good price in Telugu. But, due to the censor issue which arose at the last minute, there was a prevalent scenario such that there were issues to the release of the movie. There was the same hassle to the movie in the censor board.
The deletion of scenes required plenty of time in Andhra also. So, as expected the movie could not be released in Telugu. It seems that the movie would be released in Andhra the next week. But, so far, any official announcement has not been made. The movie Mersal has been released in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Since there were issues arising from Kannada outfits, the movie release has been stalled in Karnataka. Since the movie has not been released in Andhra and Telengana the collection of the movies is hit. It is to be noted that Vijay’s previous movies have encountered similar hassles.
