The first quarter of 2024 has ended with a welcome surprise for Tollywood. The much awaited ‘Tillu Square’ has hit jackpot at the box office!
According to the recent reports, ‘Tillu Square’ has surprised everyone. It beat the likes of ‘Aadujeevitham’ and ‘The Crew’ to earn more than 11 crores on its opening day. While the Malayalam film ‘Aadjueevitham’ earned some 6.25 crores, ‘The Crew’ earned less than 10 crores. If everything goes right, DJ Tillu will also cross the lifetime collection of ‘DJ Tillu’ within the opening weekend. In terms of overall collections, ‘Tillu Squares’ has collected around 23 crores, which is way more than its budget of 20 crores!
‘Tillu Square’ is the sequel to ‘DJ Tillu’, which had released in 2022. The current movie stars Siddu Jonnalagadda and Anupama Parameswaran in the lead roles. The movie faced a lot of hiccups before ultimately securing a release date of 29 March.
This makes ‘Tillu Square’ the 2nd clean hit of 2024 after ‘Hanu Man’. While ‘Ooru Peru Bhairavakona’, ‘Gaami’, and ‘Om Bheem Bush’ managed to recover their costs, their revenues weren’t as impressive as ‘Tillu Square’.
